I am elated to share with this community that the city I live in passed a backyard chicken ordinance. I, and other members of the community have been requesting this from the city for quite sometime. I made myself available to speak before the city commission and got to watch them vote and pass the ordinance. I can say being a part of this from the start has been just so very rewarding.
I shook the hand of the city planner who drafted the ordinance and he said "go buy your coop!" Just a fantastic group of people to work with. Let the fun begin. I will include a link to the article here
