Mandarin cross wooduck pic ?

A guy posted this on another forum stating its a cross of a mandarin / wooduck.

I know its not possible as its down to the chromosome set up of the mandarin that prevents a cross.

Anyone got ideas on what this pic shows.
 
Well, without doing a Gendetic test, I can only go by visual cues... Id say it is a Manderin / Wood Duck cross. You never know, when theres a will.. theres a way.

P.S.

Let me know what you find out. I'd like to know. I still think it looks cool.

i'm pretty sure thats just a mandarin Coming in/going out of eclipse plumage.

i think i could possibly be a color mutation too.

Looks EXACTLY like mine in eclipse plumage, That's all it is. No doubt about it at all. And for the record its when the new feathers are coming in. Yall watch your mandies when the new feathers come in

I was referring to the usually thin white "sails" in front of the orange ones
