I had about three laying their eggs all in the same box and had to remove 18 eggs. Then 2 started sitting on 19 eggs that were left. So yes it does happen but I've no idea whether the eggs will hatch. I moved one of the two females out

Can someone answer my question I posted a wile ago about the females jumping in the same box?

Sorry...didn't see it. I had my younger hen start laying eggs in my other hens nest. It's called nest dumping. I had to take out 7 eggs so they'd fit in the nest ok. After my older hen started setting, the younger started laying in another box of her own thankfully.

OK I have a question. I have a female on eggs due to hatch this weekend but whenever she leaves the nest she gets chased by a male (who's mate is also on eggs due in 2 weeks). I am not around at the mo but have been told this is happening. Will the ducklings be OK or should the male be separated? Cheers

I took my babies away last year. I worried that the other ducks would hurt them. The drakes are being territorial around their mates nesting sites, so I worried they'd get trampled or something. If it was me, I'd separate mommy and ducklings from the rest to keep them safe.

Babies should be removed unless you have a pen for just the female and ducklings

Your male is the dominate you could say and he wants to breed all the females he can get and pass his gean. I have a male that almost killed the other male and breed the other female over and over again and I did seperated them.
