I'm looking to get in to Mandarin ducks this year and was wondering if anyone has any experience and sage advice about the breed. Are there any hints to get better hatch rates on the eggs in an incubator? (I also have an Ancona duck or two that are going broody.)

Also what about duckling care? I've read that you have to drop the new hatchlings from a height to simulate falling from a tree nest. What do you feed the ducklings?

I have some developing right now in the bator.. I keep it around 100 degrees with 55% humidity and last three days bump it up to 70%. I plan to feed them duck starter just like my other ducklings.
