i was wondering if i could get info on raising mandarin ducks..how big the pen should be for a pair?breeding nest?pond?what to feed them?also for cold winter should they be inside a heated coop?can i raised them with other ducks, chicken or even with red golden pheasants hope someone can help me here also would appreciate pictures of pens and nest for the mandarin thanks in advance

100sqft per pair
They prefer a raised wood duck style nesting box
pond-not necessarily necessary, you could get away with a kiddie pool
mine get fed purina: flockraiser, and layena right now for laying season
They don't require a heated coop, just protection from wind, being in canada something like a shelter to get out of snow might be prefered (although i don't recommend using a heat lamp, kinda screwed myself over this year and started my hens laying early and threw my drake into a moult)
You can mix them in an aviary with other birds
Have been told not to mix them with domestics
as far as mixing them with the red golden pheasants no personal experience there but seen people with decent size enclosures mix them

as far as pens mine and some really good other ones here:
