Mandarin eggs due UPDATE WE HAVE A BABY! PIC

I am on day 27 with 6 Mandarin eggs from my mandies.

Usually they hatch 28-30 days I have read. Yesterday when I moved them to the hatcher I saw one that was pecking at the air sac.

Im hatching them in cartons. Hopefully I get a good hatch.

Im already for them, and I have some ducklings a little bit older to show them how to eat and drink, and im already with the mealworms.

This is the first time I have ever incubated Mandarin eggs.

I thought this morning I heard a small peep from one of the eggs.

Update: 2 out of the 6 mandie eggs have pips!!!!

Today is day 29, and I have a baby and 3 other pips.

You cant tell until they are 6-12 months old when the males start getting their bright orange plumage.
