I"m very new to byc so this may have been asked already, but could I keep a pair of mandarin ducks in the same pen with a few bantam chickens ? Pen would be about 10 x 20 and covered.

Most people say to never keep domestic and wild species together.

You could keep several pairs of ornamental ducks in a pen that size, but do not mix in chickens or domestic ducks with the wild ducks.

Then if I devided the pen into a 10x10 for each it would give me enought room for a pair of ducks? I live in the middle of town and have a side yard on the corner that I want to designate for the birds. It does have privacy fencing.

I have a barn with an extended outer "porch" that is all enclosed. I have bantam chickens and my mandarins in together. They all seem to be doing great. They've been together over a year.
