Mandarins and Roosting

Hi

Do Mandarins need a roost in there house as i think i seen somewhere that they do, and if so how high and what size thickness should it be ?

Mine never roost they always huddle in the corner with the other ducks.

Mine love to roost. I have a tree limb that I cut in half lengthwise. It is about 3 inches in diameter/across and about 10 feet long. I have it about 4 feet off the ground. I often see 6 or 8 birds on it.
