Manitoba Canada anyone?

Hi, we live in the North-West lake interlake area... just wondered if anyone else is in MB on this forum. We have 55 chickens, a dog and 20 goats.

Hello from Beausejour, Manitoba Canada!!!

Have 80+ chickens, a dog and a cat!

We started off with 30 Black Star pullets and 10 Orpingtons last year.

Now we have added Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans, Wheaton Marans, BC Marans, Red Stars and Americauna's.

Buying chicks is addictive! lol

Hi... where do you get your Marans from? I have one pure rooster and a hen, and a couple crosses I believe, I'd like to get more sometime but I may just try to raise my own. Thanks for responding.

Good to hear from local poultry enthusiasts!

I got most of my Marans from members of the local Cluck and Quack Poultry Club. I have Black Copper Marans, Wheaton Marans and Cuckoo Marans. The Black Copper and Wheaton stock come from BC. The Cuckoo's come from Quebec.

What Kind of Marans do you have?

I do raise my own chicks. Another member of the local poultry club lives only a few miles away from me and has a decent incubator. They have been hatching my eggs and I have been quite happy with the hatch rates that we have been getting.

I am interested in getting new roosters to diversify my bloodlines and I plan to part with some of the roosters that I have. If you are interested in trading / buying /selling stock feel free to contact me.
