many duck questions to be answered

I have six 3 month old pekins who I adore and love. I would love to learn more about them. So I have many questions:
1) when will the makes tail curl up, if there are any males that is?
2) what snacks will they eat? Mine won't eat bread, onions, lettuce, potato, tomato (these are what I've tried). They only eat the grain.
3) when will they start laying? I haven't found any eggs yet. They are free range during the day. We have a crick they spend most the day in. At night they all come in the fence, for their protection:)

Howdy! Welcome to BYC. Under the "Forum" link you can find another forum just for Ducks. Boy! Have I learned a lot from those folks! :eek:)

I have read that egg laying could start around 20-24 weeks of age with the correct feed and lighting. Hopefully, someone with more experience will help answer your questions soon. :eek:)

don't know about ducks but if they free range, maybe they are laying them away from home and you haven't found them. If you go to the "Other Backyard Poultry" forum you will find duck people (and geese etc.) who probably have better answers than we come up with.
