Maran Hen Or Roo

Only 3 months old. Was going to wait and see if starts crowing. Some of my neighbors weren’t so happy about having chickens and really wont be happy if they hear a roo.

Upright stance
Pointy saddle and hackle feathers
Color on the shoulder and saddle feathers
It is a cockerel and a nice one!

The pics below are of a cockerel around the same age, a hen and a picture I didn't plan on adding. An older cockerel. I can almost tell cockerels at birth, I have no doubt on this one.

Speaking of avatars.... what is that gator after?
The cork (Float) on my fishing line! Often swamp tour people feed the gators marshmellows to get them to come to the boat. It's really a bad idea, for lots of reasons. For some reason this little guy thought my cork was a marshmellow and got interested, then attacked it later when I reeled my line in. (Guess he thought the marshmellow was getting away!)
