Maran Male or female?

What do y’all think? Are these male or female? We’ve never had a roo and we can’t figure it out! They’re 12 weeks old.

Agree with above.
I can tell by the huge cobs and wattles for the age, pointy saddle feathers and the red wing bars.

Look at 'feathersite' and the Cackle website. Both have good pictures of Marans of several colors and sexes.
Males have big combs and wattles, pointed hackle feathers, sweeping saddle feathers, and are colored differently than pullets in this color pattern.

Do that... dependin* on your rooster, it can be quite different than raising pullets.
