It just doesn't make sense to sell a rooster when you don't need them. Why not just give them away? Gives something else to someone who needs it.
Really? Is this an issue???? Paid good money for quality eggs, raised them, fed them, kept them for 7 months and if someone wants to buy them, I'll sell them--which someone did!
Maybe they have hens and no roo or maybe they plan to get hens later??? Who cares! I often give roos away and every once in awhile, I sell them...seriously, not quite sure why you're even posting...
And lots of people like roos--I am one of them! ddeans and his wife, who came and bought the roos saw all the roos we had and understood our dilemma. He saw that we take good care of our chickens and liked what we had, wanted it, and bought it...
As for the "eyes checked" comment, I do apologize...it's a tiny picture and it looks like the chicken is wearing a tie--it's a great costume!
