Marans chicks--Any guesses on sex? I'm confused.

I really can't tell at all which are roos and which are pullets at this point.

Seems to me like you have two roosters and 2 pullets. Two of them have a more prominent comb sticking up.

I think the 4th chick (on the right) is a pullet, and maybe the second chick (from the left). But the second chick does have a bigger comb than the 4th chick.

they all look like cockerals to me

. My pullets were much darker and had very small dots, my cockerals had smudgy spots like those.....
mine are younger in these pics but you can see what I am talking about...

I would say on your second picture, starting from top to bottom girl , boy girl, boy but Im no expert! LOL just seems like those two have the biggest combs (Boys)

After just sexing mine. I agree with klf73. They all look like cockerals.

They have large head spots and alot of light feathering. By using these "rules", mine were easy to sex. I had trouble with only one.

I will add, the top one in the first pic had me confused for a while...he is darker than the other 2 cockerals but something told me he was a he. He got his sickle feathers a few weeks ago.....I think he only carries one barring gene
