Marans egg color please post pics

I have yet to see any really dark ones, does anyone have a flock that when they first started laying the egg color was over a 7 on the chart? if so anyone have pics? I am starting to wonder if they exist lol

the best I have gotten from my flock so far is a nice red 5 and I want to breed for darker eggs but dont know where to begin to find them, I even looked at a lot of the french sites and they seem to have ones in the 5 range as well. And yes there are lots on e-bay but weeding through the real ones is hard as no one posts what their egg color is after their hatches reach point of lay.

I know there is a marans post but it has gotten very long and I wanted to discuss egg color only.

Just last Friday I saw, in person, an egg that I'm sure would've been about an 8 1/2 on the egg color chart. It was very impressive!

My wheatens came from nice eggs, around 7 on the color chart. You can see a pic here:

Unfortunately, it is VERY hard to accurately represent egg color in pictures!

These are from my 2 girls, a black copper and a blue pullet that just started to lay. The eggs have gotten a shade or two darker since.

The light brown eggs are from my production rir flock.

Beautiful eggs! I would like a few Marans someday. Such gorgeous birds.
