14 out of 14=100% hatch on the eggs in the incubator. One that had been chirping for 2 days still hadn't pipped as of this morning, so when I heard it still peeping at me I decided to go in after it.....I'm glad I did
this little baby is now flying solo in the hatcher and doing well.
Broody mamma has 3 chicks that I can see and she's not cooperating when I ask her to show me exactly how many babies she hiding? lol Just gives me the look!
The first baby under mamma pipped around 5pm yesterday and was out by 1130 last night, a little blue copper. As of this morning I saw 2 blues and one black. I'll update on her later with pics if I can get them.
Hatched in the house are 6 blacks, 7 blues and 1 splash all feather legged except 1 blue and 1 black that were test eggs from different parents to see what they would throw and the roo I used was clean legged.

Thanks. You know, I am kind of bummed because I opened up the 5 eggs today that didn't hatch and 4 of them had fully formed Black Copper chicks in them.
Oh, well. I made a few mistakes during lockdown with this incubator because I hadn't used it before. Live and learn.
