Marans mixed chick eye color

I have several Marans mixed chicks from a hatching I did in March. They are 4-1/2 weeks old and all have very dark eyes. Can I expect eye color to change to the orange/red of their daddy, and if so, at what age does that typically occur?

Eyes will generally change when they're a few months old, generally around the time of laying but it can depend on the individual : D

Eye color changes can start pretty early, like 6 week or so.
