Don't males have a different feather pattern or does that come in later?
Yes.. males should have red om their wings and saddle should be more orange by this age IMO...

I vote both pullets... never YET... seen a Marans mature that slowly to not be sporting red in the comb or especially waddles or ANY male saddle feather by the stated age of 17 weeks... :pop
 
A makes the ‘honking’ sound when he talks and its legs are huge. I’m guessing A is male

I hope it is ok to ask a question here, I have 2 wk old Maran chicks...is it crazy to think I can tell the difference between girls and boys now?
I just noticed the other day the combs on 2 are enlarging, feathering is at about the same stage on those two and 2 others with smaller combs. There are some behavioral things I've noticed also.
