Marans Standard???

Please define the standards for the different breeds of marans. I dont quite understand the whole standard thing. Im looking for what it takes to be in the french standards....exc. I've read about the marans they talk about standards. Dont understand is one better than the other. Hope to one day (when the prices go down) to own the black coppers but want to make the right choice in standerds. Need help to make the right choice.

Marans are not yet accepted by the APA but here is a copy of the proposed standard.
