My first dozen Cuckoo Marans Eggs

Alright, I am a very rude new chicken mommy - I went right out there and woke these two new ladies up, told them they were the subject of a lot of discussion and I needed their pics RIGHT NOW. WHAT !?! Glad they are in a stupor, these gals are pretty fiesty in the daylight! The brown one is the Crele, he he, and the black is the black Penedesenca, of course! I took a pic of the egg one of the silly hens laid on the top of the cage, whoever did it, but it was a crele that was sittin right above it, so I think it was one of them! Pretty neat, I'm glad I got them!

What do you think they should cross with? My roosters are Cuckoo Marans, Black Copper Marans, Black Langshan, an Itty Bitty Mille Fleur Frizzle, EE's, Blue Wheaton Ameraucana, White Silkies, and a stupid black and white polish that will NOT GO AWAY -
Whenever I put this stupid Polish back in the Duck yard/rooster pen, I come back out in the morning, and he's back in with the hens again!! I'm going to HAVE to relocate him or feed him to June, my killer dog, she LOVES the taste of fresh chicken. He's the only one petite enough to come back through the wire and get back in the yard from the duck area. BRAT!

Oh, that egg picture was taken on white/natural batting material in house light, NO FLASH, natural shadows, just to let you know...that is "warm and natural" cotton material under it....for people who know what that is...no joke, it really is a dark egg! I was really impressed!

Hey, you could make Spanish Olive-eggers.

The egg color is so wonderful, I would want to breed them to a roo that came from a really dark egg as well and just see what happens.
