My little blue copper test babies...funny both came from feather legged parents....one has nice feathering and the other has 1 little feather on one of its legs.

Well originally I wouldn't keep or raise Wheatens or Blue Wheatens, as just about everyone I have seen or heard of lay rather light eggs with a lot of splattering. These were shown to me by an amazing breeder, and I was just taken away by them! They were identical to my Black Copper eggs.

(couple people tell me they are even darker. . .They are from younger birds though, which explains, but still really really nice)

I scored a tradie last night...

Granted I had to climb on the roof of an old barn... ha ha... It was raining bucket...You who live in Oregon or WA know what I mean... We went out around midnight to a friends house to catch a Wyandotte off the roof of the barn... wallowing in chicken poo in the rain with the wind blowing us like crazy to procure a trade item... Wyandotte for a Black copper Wade from the same lines as my roo.... ha ha ha... Just thought I would share!!! (I know certifieably crazy)... What was everyone else doing at midnight??? Oh and I placed all the Leghorn/marans crosses also... It was a 3 way trade!!! Muha ha ha...
