Those are pretty normal healthy looking feet to me!!! The second pic you sent me has more webbing but not anything to write home about... Just chicken feet. Looks like my marans chickens feet.

What you are referring to is the Intermediate and Lateral interdigital web that is a common part of a chickens foot. They are not exceptionally webbed as a ducks would be....

Amazondoc~ Congrats on the hatch....how come we don't see any fuzzy butt photos......I was looking forward to seeing those little blue coppers.

Big bummer that the little duckwing Wellie egg didn't hatch........big bummer. Dang it!

Missed ya pinkchick.... It was getting a little scrappy around here w/o your humor.... Where ya been? My marans are all on strike... They either went broody or are going to molt.... I am getting only one dark egg a day... That isn't even much breakfast let alone hatch.... I am thankful for the hatch festivus thread that forced me to hatch my next year's babies... yeah!!! I actually have two bators running but one spiked 107 day one... (I am running it anyway cause I don't know how long the spike lasted and when I opened the bator it didn't feel that hot.. my thermostat sensor may have been touching metal. I hope it is all good... A really nice batch of eggs that I was oobercareful on parentage, notes and photos... So I hate to waste all the effort.

Did those girls turn in a vacation request form for prior approval? If not......do they know thats time off with out pay?

Yeah... I know the feeling...(busywork).... No the girls didn't turn in the proper forms.... I figure since they have been in a STEADY lay since Sept/Oct I can give them some extra time off for good behaviour though...Hopefully this trend will not last too long... I sure do like the "christmas morning" feeling when I get my eggies.
