He is such an incredibly affectionate, sweet cat. He really has no idea he's not a human. I know this is a Marans Picture Thread, but I like to insert a picture of him every few hundred posts or so for the comic value.

yeah, I remember pics of him before (still like seeing him every now and then) cuz I mentioned my mothers ocicats (I know they are not the same breed) and them being very dog-like and sometimes like humans. You can't even defrost meat with hers, they take it

Also, I'd be very interested in an egg exchange...any black coppers that are feather-legged and producing dark eggs, since that's just about all I can state with authority about mine.

It looks like your little roo also started to show copper on it's wings, did your pullets? They shouldn't right? Because they should be black with some copper around the neck, yes?

I have two day old in the brooder and four three week olds..the combs seem to be more pronounced even in the day olds to me..At a day old two of them had larger yellow combs and two had very small black combs

Im hoping Im right anyway

Lickskillet, if you can get some good clear head shots, Gamebirdsonly is a champion chick sexer. He was 6 of 6 on my day old chicks. Drom was pretty good as well with 5 of 6. Pics on page 152 if you want to compare with your chicks.

I'd guess hen on the last one.
