Well all this time I thought he was blue wheaten, but I looked at photos of wheaten roosters and they have black chests, so I assume that a blue wheaten should have a blue chest?

This guy, as well as the two wheaten hens hatched from black copper (and/or blue copper) eggs. I'm really liking my wheatens... If I end up raising pure Marans, that's likely my pick- I'm disapointed with the coppers.

Wow - One difference I see in Rusty right away is he is about three inches shorter than Mr. Cuckoo is right now. And the older Mr. Cuckoo gets, the more prominent his Gold Cuckoo coloring has become, almost a confusing coloration - pretty but similar to the Golden Cuckoos I prefer! Too dark in the other feathers as well, but pretty none the less! Rusty is a pretty bird ! Nice and stocky - and he's related? Say hi!
Oh, and thanks for the Flashback on Mr. Cuckoo!
