That's funny about a huge head popping out of the clouds!

I actually rather LIKE when the hatching begins at my bed time. I forces me to go to sleep, and by morning, I'll have a bunch of new fuzz butts!

no cross that i know of , the first wheaten hen is about 6 months and still coloring in and will fill in the darker colors and second is around 4 1/2 months....they have some growing to do . the parrents are davis roo over a few budy henery hens and a davis hen ,,,,, i dont know were bev got her wheaten stock but bdy henery line came from presley line that came from sport from kellerman line bred to a unknown bird .... or something like thaT

this is a davis roo great bird to me ,,, although the tail is somewhat steep .but i picked the best roo out of 12 davis/and / henery pure lines

well thanks for the kind words , i picked him out of the 5 roos i hatched from the great line (davis )... and i hatched around 4 roos out of the great line of budy hennery (presley ).... as it turned out i culled all the presley roos in favor of him ..... not that one is better than another , it just turned out davis was nicer and bigger and the comb was better looking ..... it was just a role of genetic luck.... about 2 years ago i started hatching a dozzen from each breeder and got 9 roos and 2 hens lol then i did a half dz hatch and got a davis hen .... it takes forever to get a few good birds , now i have many but it will be another 2 or 3 months for my first gen eggs

You know lotsa that comment about the comb size and egg production in female offspring must be true because my Bill had a very proud comb and his daughters are great layers....better than their mothers. His comb was a perfect 5 points until one awnry girl decided to take off his first point. Sometimes the girls can be so mean.

Hello I just got my first BC and a Blue Copper Marans. I have other Marans just never had these can you tell me what you think of them The BC is a roo I got for free at our BYC Swap july 10th. Any input good or bad is fine. The Blue I hope is a girl would like to know what ya'll think on the sex of that one.

Berkeleysprings No eggs from mine I did update photos on my byc site. Their combs are getting darker by the day so I hope it will be soon. The roo is having his way -----sometimes too.

5 mos 21 days, one of three CMs i own laid. i think this is a neat egg but it may be totally normal and boring to you guys.

i have never gotten a speckled egg before so i am happy with it...though it is not terribly darfk, it's cool and as i work on my eclectic eggs project, this may be one to consider for breeding for speckled olive eggs. do they tend to stay this way (speckled) or is it a new egg thing?

haTHOR I have a Cuckoo who is laying an egg very close to that and I too hope it stays speckled but I don't know if it will stay that way
