Isn’t it the worst? I had 2 silver spangled appenzeller spitzhauben chicks a few years ago and was in complete denial that they both were roos until I very clearly saw them attempting to crow.

That's exactly what happened here. I had one chicken 12 years ago that I SWORE was a rooster but I wanted it to be a girl so bad, so I kept it until I could hear it crow. It grew faster, was taller, was enormous, etc. and it turned out to be a girl. We named her Gigantor, or "Gigi". I was hoping this was the case again.

We can't have roosters in my town which is a shame, so this handsome guy will need to find a home.
