marbels in water

These http://www.eggcartons.com/Plastic-Quail-Base/productinfo/730/ tiny waterers are what I use. The water ring is very tiny, yet big enough for the babies to get their beaks in for a drink. They won't drown in this ring, and no marbles needed.

I use the plastic quart waterers, too, but I still put the marbles. Even if they don't fall in and drown, they can fall in and get wet, and then they generally die from hypothermia, even in a brooder at 95 plus degrees.

These rings have a 1/2" opening. That's small. Not saying they won't get off in it, but I don's see how. I've watered hundreds of Bobs with these with no additives. But again, that's Bobs.
