March 2022 Hatch-A-Long

I am setting 7 Muscovy eggs later today. They will be due to hatch on March 16th. I also have a bunch more eggs I should be setting this month.

I have Bantam Cochin, Barnyard Mixed, and Large Fowl Brahma. These are all from various sources. All are due to hatch in March if I set them as planned.

I am a bit of a hatching addict. I will be adding eggs at various points to the incubator as the month goes on. So if you are hatching or want to just see what hatches join me.

My sister brought me 9 mystery eggs! I’m excited to find out what they are. They were laid behind her shed. She says they have neighborhood chickens that nobody claims. Thankfully I have a broody hen that was willing to sit on them. Day 7 today Medium white eggs 4/11 approx hatch date!

DAY 17, which for me is the start of the lockdown process. Just means pulling out the turner, setting down the shelf liner, marking the eggs with an X where I suspect they will pip and waiting another two days before adding water.
13 have made it so far.
