I really need to test the nature right 360 I just bought. Should I do 6, 12, 18 or 24 for a test run? They are just my mixed flock eggs. Spitzhauben, Orpingtons, Ameraucanas and Phoenix.

Heck go for 24. LOL I have 28 in there now... well started with 28. down to 27 but think another 2 will be out soon and not sure on 4 others. But 21 babies growing!!!!!!

At what age do roos start showing behaviors of being a roo? My five toed chick on several occasions had been going around chest puffed up and head high towards other chicks.

Early. I had one like that and it was a cockerel. Out of the three in that hatch it was the least nice. He was the one you can see down in the left corner. The other two on the bar were cockerels too. Seemed to like being up on the bar where they could watch what was going on.

Another FCM I had was watching the flock from day two. Always the one out front giving me the eye when I checked on them. He was a really sweet cockerel and I was glad I was able to find him a home. He had the cutest mating dance he would do right out of the coop in the mornings. I was reminded of Pepe Le Pew. "Ooh, my l'ttle chickadees..."

Woke up to 2 little babies this morning! Missed it by an hour and a half! Still plenty more to hatch!!

As quite a few are going to be EEs probably all of them.

I had one hatch last night. 3 more are pipped! One might be starting to zip but has a slow start to it. And that’s ok as long as she hatches!

speaking of chicks in demand, I have been trying to rehome 6 week old chicks for 6 weeks and haven't had one peep.

As quite a few are going to be EEs probably all of them.

EEs seem to be in demand where I am.

Straight run?

I can't sell straight run chicks worth anything, but I can sell POL pullets like mad. Younger pullets and mature hens in the middle.
