My cream legbars started pipping today and 2 just hatched. They were faster than any others I've hatched. 5 more have now pipped. View attachment 3427878View attachment 3427879

What do ya’ll do with your early quitters?

And what do you do with eggs that didn’t develop but have been in the incubator for 12 days?

I always crack them open to see what I can see if they don’t survive my day 10 candling. If they are clear, I throw them into our field for the roadrunner or whatever may want to eat it. The eggtopsy remains go in the bin.

We have 6 little fuzzballs, 2 more are pipped and 1 to go. Also 1 duck egg that will be a week behind the chicks because we had 1 extra spot in the incubator. View attachment 3427965

Day 18 lockdown day !!
Candled all again and pulled 5 eggs ( 2 not fetiluzed, 3 quitters ) and I pulled 2 earlier on that has blood rings

There are still 3 in the incubator that looks very questionable. One is super dark but air sack doesn't look very big at all...
The other two seem to be a bit behind than the others but i can see veins so I'm leaving them in till later on

Let's see how it goes

Tonight for me. A little worried about the small air cells still but can only wait and see at this point. Will be a long could of days waiting now.

Lockdown for me too (first hatch) but also bit worried about size of the air cells! can only wait and hope now.

So cute. What day did yours start to pip on? It's day 18 for me but getting impatient now can't wait for the hatching to begin. Wondering when it might start?
