Nope. Genetic mama is a Rhode Island Red. Hatch mama is supposedly pure Dominique, but I suspect an outcross with Cuckoo Marans somewhere in the not-too-distant past. Papa is a GORGEOUS Dominique roo.

Finally have another pip this afternoon. The first chick was playing soccer in the incubator so I put it in the brooder with four WLH hatchery chicks. I checked the egg that pipped and quit on Monday, tapped and got no response, the pip opening is dried over, and the pip was not near the air sac.

Here's the cute little hatchling. Its parents are Freedom Rangers.

Wow this really does suck. I am happy that your eggs are hatching. Mine have done nothing here it is the end of day 21 for the chicken eggs and 28 for the duck eggs I have not eggs rocking no pips no peeps no nothing.

Thank you! I am ridiculously proud of him. I am SURE he's not as awesome a specimen as *I* think he is, but I'd sure like to show him and find out.
