I water candled my eggs this morning. It was so awesome to watch the eggs wiggle.

Tomorrow is Day 25 so from everything I've read it seems that tonight is the last time I will turn the eggs and they will go into lockdown. I've read different things about raising the humidity though. Do I start raising it slowly (starting tomorrow) and have it at 75% by Thursday (day 28) or do I raise it when one has externally pipped or do I wait for all of them to externally pip?

I don't know how I'm going to get anything done this week!

I've had to take time of work! I wouldn't miss the babies first breath ever!

We have 6 babies now. There are 9 more left. 2 more are pipped. My drake got me again and it hurt

I am biting my nails as hatch day is 5 days away. Both broodies have been fabulous however one I have to force off her nest. Once a day for a drink and food so.ce it has been very warm here. We have 8 remaining out of 11 under an game hen mix white leghorn. And 9 remaining out of 12 under a buff orpington hen. I am so excited

Haha I understand how you feel on that. I get the same way.. it never fails.. so far I have 9 ducklings and 6 eggs left to hatch out. Out of the whole incubation only 3 eggs were removed due to not being fertile. Otherwise all have been squirmy growing babies and the hens have even crushed some of the eggs and the ducklings still made it.

My hatch day is Thursday and it's killing me! I candled them Monday night and thought 2 had internally pipped but now I think it was just shadows that I saw. I've only done this twice (first time 3 years ago) both times with my 4th grade students. I'm feeling the pressure for this hatch to go right since we started with 6 eggs, one was a yolker and one a late stage quitter. The looks on my students faces when I told them we lost JP (jumbo pekin).... well, lets just say I don't want to screw this up!

Ok i have a question, so today i put my 45 hen eggs in with my 3 duck eggs (as u know) which have been developing nicely i want them to hatch on the same day so i decided to put the duck eggs in a week earlier, so the humidity has been around 50- 60 which i read is ok for duck eggs, but when i put my hen eggs in, i couldn't really get it down, i tried putting in less water, but that didn't work, so i thought it may be to high for them, so i was wondering is it to late to do a dry hatch, I've never done this before so if u have any ideas or tips please help thanks
