March Egg Swap Addresses sent

Will be ship our eggs on March 12? I'm trying to figure out how long the eggs will take in shipping and then I'm allowing one day to let the eggs rest before March 17.

Yes.

Seriously though, you could always PM the people you're sending to and ask once you get the name. Both of mine from last swap did that and I didn't feel unsurprised. You can always ask that question and not give breeds.
Okay, that's what I'll do. Do you guys generally include a note explaining what you've sent or leave it to be a complete surprise at hatch?

I was wondering the same thing. Would it be better to mail packages on Monday or Tuesday?

The mystery egg swaps that we did in July/August of last year were just that - a mystery. Most people tried to disguise where they are from (some used the recipients own address as the return address) and you did not know what kind of eggs you were getting. After hatch, people were trying to guess what breed or mixes the chicks were and where they came from. It was kind of fun. Most people "confessed" later what eggs they had sent. People were matched up according to mixed and purebred so if you sent mixed you got mixed; if you sent purebred you got purebred.
MrHeinz sent me some of his eggs - they turned out to be quite cute! Had to do some sleuthing to figure it out though.

Ummm, for me I include a note or PM them. I had a lady actually include a picture of some of the chicks she hatch from her eggs.

I am not really one for surprises.

Sorry, wasn't trying to cause problems or distress. mrheinz77 other egg swaps haven't been a mystery swap and I was just going by what he wrote on the first post when I posted about the other mystery egg swaps. Maybe he would include that information (that you would prefer no surprises) to the person who receives your name for swapping?

I'm not sure if I'm in, I have a question or two. I have never sent or reiceved eggs so how does everyone send them? I get wrapped, but like the priority mail box? How do you know when to send them by?
