Got my first swap eggs just now. Thank you, Chickenfever, They arrived just fine and so pretty and such great color. I would love to know what they are so I can figure out what color they will hatch.

I got eggs today but not the march swap eggs. Mine where from swaps and some I bought. I haven't heard from 1 of my swappers. I hope they haven't forgotten me, but if they arrive saturday they will get set late. I'll be gone when the mail lady arrives plus they need to sit a while.

I have 3 broody's fussing with each other about who's gonna sit on the eggs. One hatched and they all where trying to sit on it so I took it away. There is one pipped and i'll have to take it too I imagine. Their new young fella is even in the box. Got me a broody cockereal. I wonder if he knows he's a he. He sure knows how to crow.

DILEMMA!

I have a dozen duck eggs in the bator and chicken eggs on the way. I also have a broody in the coop! I have the humidity set about 70% in the bator and I believe this is too high for the chicken eggs as I place it that high during lock down. I can set some eggs under my broody if needed but can I place chicken eggs and duck eggs in the bator at the same time? if so what do I need to set the humidity at that will work for both ducks and chicks? This is my first batch of duck eggs so I am looking for advice from you guys the experts on this.

I posted this in another thread but it's being over run with an egg stacking marathon! would someone pls give some advice!

I've had successful hatches with duck eggs and chicken eggs in the same incubator. Keep the temperature and humidity as you would for chicken eggs, or increase the humidity just a little, and remember that the duck eggs take at least five more days to hatch.

Thank you so much!!!! The knowledge is much appreciated!

Yep, one was from you. I was worried because your box was dinged pretty bad in the corner, but they were all A OK! All my eggs were intact. I will post pics and send PM's later. Thank you!
