Go pip & rocker! I've never seen the eggs rocking, hope to see that someday; maybe the egg cartons keep most movement down. Happy hatching on the rest of the eggs!

Silkies are so good. That's going to be hard to keep up with, I'm sure the broody hens will have it all under control. A friend emailed me a pic of her 5 Silkies who kept piling on top of each other in one nest box, in hopes of setting the same eggs.

I've got my question answered on "how do you "jump start" a broody hen". You go out & buy a mature Silkie; keep checking to see if she is setting anything yet (just got her yesterday by the way); then look in some other nest boxes to find that same silly Ameraucana/Faverolles in a nest box again (what ever is wrong with her!). Hey, she's gone broody, go figure. I've got a broody afterall!

you're at my favorite breathless excitement, I don't want to sleep before I see what the stork brings me part of this hobby. Good luck!

My Morning Report...
No chickies yet... I would wake up and hear cheep cheep through out the night, I'd get up look with my lil flashlight, the pip is bigger.
