I'm so bummed. When I went to bed last night the temp in the bator was 100.4 when I got up this morning it was sitting at 104.2!!!!!

I don't know how long it had been sitting at that temperature but I think it might have been most of the night. I candled a couple of them but couldn't see any movement. They were due to hatch this Saturday 3/6. I've decided to go ahead and finish it out but I'm not holding out much hope that any will hatch.

Up to four pips, the original having punched out quite the hole. It keeps pecking at air, someone needs to take it to zipping class. I thought it would be out and running around the incubator by now. Oh well, day 21 does not officially start until early afternoon tomorrow.

My status is this:
I got a bit worried last night as we lost power for some time (not sure how long, but something woke me up at 430 and I notice power was out). I checked my wiggler temp, which read 89 deg! Knowing that we were in for wet snow and high winds, I bought a generator from Home Depot the other day....still hadn't unpacked it...until this morning! By the time I got it unpacked and ready to go, the power came back on. The eggs warmed up by 5:30...so I feel fortunate. I candled one of the viable ones this evening and saw movement!

I go into LOCKDOWN on Wed, for a hatch on Sat! This is my first hatching escapade....but the suspense is killing me! I'm like a new father, all over again!

Thanks Tibanks, I'm trying to stay positive. I guess if I get nothing this go round I can always set more.

One of my salmon favs eggs quit this morning. Down to two.

I gave up on feb and moved to march, 6 of 8 hatched now at 11:30pm first 2/28 about five pm. two to go under my jap broody.
