yay!
What all do you have in there? Just BCM?
ETA: *looks at picture* unless they are really old hens, probably not! Like....really really old...so old they turned into a different kind of chicken....
lol - yes, there are some brown red Ameraucana in there, too. :)

Awesome, congrats!!

Hey what kind of bator/setup is this? What's the caging? Looks cool.
It's a mess of trying new things in there. I have suet feeders to keep different pairings separated and inside of those are cut up egg cartons to help keep chicks from rolling their hatch buddies around.

Babies!!!

Cool, thanks! Great idea. One of my "fears" has been mine will hatch while I'm away and I will have to decipher what's what, lol.

Hey I'm not sure how it works, but it is some kind of brace people make to hold the legs right. Look under hatching/chick problems someone might know. Good luck and keep us updated

No problem - can't take too much credit, though. I saw the idea from someone on the Ameraucana thread. Seems pretty handy. They're the big suet feeders from Lowe's (haven't seen them for sale other places).

Just went to set up my lock down, fill w/ water take out the braces and close the vent almost entirely, and found out I have 2 that have pipped!!!!!! I tried so hard not to have it early again, I turned the temp down to 99 even for this hatch, b/c part of my shrink wrapping problem has been to warm of an incubation. I have been listening for peeping all day, putting my ear up to the incubator and nothing. Well just have to wait and see I guess now.

My bantam black/Blue Cochin eggs started hatching on day 19 (3/13/14) and are continuing to hatch! I love these little Bantams and might keep to improve my flock and introduce a new rooster for better bloodlines. These eggs are from MY show quality stock! Still hoping the Swedish Flower Hen Eggs from MY show quality stock start to hatch tomorrow, Day 21 (3/15/14).
