March hatch along

Its been a couple of days since my hatch but I ended up with eight out of twelve hatching out. (I miscounted and thought there was fourteen eggs orginally). Of the eggs that didnt hatch out, two looked like quitters that werent fully formed, one pipped in the middle of the egg and I guess drowned, and of the other two one pipped the internal membrane too low and the other never pipped but was in position to.

Early hatchers here! Tomorrow was the expected hatch day but we now have 3 already out.

Well Im all done with this hatch, ended up with 20 out of 30, Started 12:15 am Saturday morning and the last one hatched this morning 4 didn't develop, 3 died small(looked like 3/4 of the way and 3 didn't pip.


I have an old house and it tends to draft a lot and with this crazy weather I had several temp changes. Dropped in low 90's several times and got up to 104 once. I also think that I shouldn't have put all 30 in one bator to hatch, little fellas got knocked around for sure

Look down is only a couple days away. I guess I should tell my MIL about my deep dark secret that has been cooking away at 102 degrees on my night stand for the last 15 days.

I was trying to avoid judgement, but it seems like if I don't tell her soon, she'll be surprised. Wonder what she'll think when she's home alone during the day and she hears peeping coming from my bedroom. Omg! She moved in with us a year ago when my first batch of babies were in the laundry room. She's going to think I'm completely nuts!!

One hatched, one more pipped. It appears as though one attempted to break through, but just left a raised ridge and no actual hole
