Marco not laying

3 year old leghorn best layer for her first year, last year her eggs had soft and wrinkled shells. This year she laid maybe a dozen in the spring and then stopped.

Calcium, like oyster shell, helps if soft shell or weak shell becomes a habit. Rarely, but it happens, I get a shell-less egg and know they already get plenty of calcium so I don't worry about it. It's always only one.

She's at the age where she might slow down a little, but not stop entirely for years. I'd try extra calcium for a while and see if it helps. We have oyster shell in a separate dish, so whoever needs it eats it.

Really people have very limited effect on laying. If the rest of your girls are laying well, your diet is probably good. There is a lot of natural variance in all biological acts, of which laying is one. Check for a hidden nest, and make the decision whether or not to cull. If you have a cull list, she would be on it in my flock.
