Mareks? Or something else?

I have an 8 week old free range welsummer eating medicated chick starter who started out on Monday having difficulty walking. She was staggering/wobbling around and kept falling back on her hocks. I immediately quarantined her. By the end of Monday she was walking on her hocks and kept falling to her sides. By Tuesday she wasn’t moving at all she was just plopped down with her feet out in front of her and would only eat or drink if the food and water was directly in front of her. I did add vitamins and supplements to her food and water and added a B-vitamin complex. Today she can move her feet a little bit but her legs continue not to work and she has this extremely foul rancid watery diarrhea that she seems to have no control of. My gut is saying Mareks but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and it ended up being something else.

It very likely could be Mareks, but I would continue to give the B complex. Instead of putting it in the water, give 1/4 to 1/2 tablet orally or crush in food or a little water. If you lose her or put her down, your state vet can look for Mareks in a necropsy or with testing. Here is a list of state vets to contact:

Can you take a sample of poop to your vet and have a fecal float to see if Coccidiosis is part of the issue as well?
Crop emptying?

Extremely Foul Rancid Watery Diarrhea - any chance she's gotten into compost, moldy feed, at something rotten?

I would continue with the vitamins for now to see if she makes any improvement.
