Mareks ?

I have a 2 mos old Ameicauna who will not walk. She appeared to have "slip wing"? But atter a day or so, all seemed fine and back to normal. Now for the past few days, she wont walk. Both legs/wings appear fine. When assisted to stand she will just fall to one side the push herslelf in circles. Food/water interest is still very good but she wont move as mentioned. New to raising and someone mentioned Mareks Disease? ANY HELP/OPINION would be greatly appreciated! My junior chicks farmers and I would really appreciate any help.

can you please post a picture of her it would really help. Marek's disease does come to mind but a picture could would be extremely helpful. in the mean time Google Marek's disease and they should have several pictures of how the disease manifests itself. marked disease is a highly prolific extremely contagious airborne disease. it is shed through the feather follicle.if it is Marek's disease any other bird that has been exposed is a carrier and can infect other birds. you will need to practice extreme bio security because you don't want to bring the disease to other birds on clothing or shoes. also the disease can live on the land for months. if you bring ANY new birds in the must be vaccinated and have had two to three weeks time for immunity to take place before exposure. however the stats are over 60% of unvaccinated birds acquire Marek's and over 5% of vaccinated birds still acquire Marek's
disease. your best weapon right now if it is Marek's disease is education. many here on this forum are quite knowledgeable about this disease and can help you move forward from here IF it is Marek's. many are dealing with this disease now. they know how to care for and move forward . if it does happen to be Marek's I suggest making a new thread and specifically asking for help with mareks and you will get many many knowledgeable people with good solid advice on how to help your bird practice bio security and how to move forward in a positive direction. I do not know those answers but they do. I suggest for now keeping a closed flock. until you learn if your bird in fact does or does not have it. I really URGE you to do reading on Marek's disease. its extremely important because this disease is HIGHLY contagious! also if your in contact with other peoples birds you should practice the best bio security so the disease will not spread to them. as I under stand it just because the other birds in the flock were exposed it does not necessarily mean they will fall ill themselves. but it DOES mean even though they aren't ill they can still SPREAD the disease as carriers. this is about the extent of my knowledge on this disease but others here can be of ALOT more help. I've even seen pictures of people who know how to make a little splint chair for the bird that's dealing with Marek's. they can answer your questions a lot better. but for now if you can post a picture it would be of great help in confirming her illness. I really hope this bit of information was helpful to you. and I URGE you to do some research on Marek's disease. I think that will really help. I hate to say this but it does sound as if it is Marek's. As Realsis asked, could you post pictures of her? To be sure, I would like to 'see'. Are you giving them any type of vitamins supplements? What feed are they eating? There are other things that will cause these symptoms as well and it's better if it's taken one step at a time, before the verdict of marek's is engraved in stone.

If you could list all feed, treats, supplements and even any medicine they've been given in the last few weeks, it would be a big help in helping you figure this out. Pictures of her, her eyes so that the pupil is visible as well as color, legs, skin if you can get down to it and still get a picture. Aflatoxin poisoning can be another thing that will cause symptoms like this, so let's rule everything out first.
