Mareks's or just a "cornish x" problem?

Like Neil said could be a nutritional deficiency.... however in my experiences I get birds like this all the time. About 1-2% do this.... they start out just walking really slow to becoming completely immobile. At least 1 bird / tractor gets it. I just cull and put on the compost pile because there usually isn't much meat on them. This usually happens at 5 weeks but I have seen it earlier.

No Mareks I can tell you that much.... and I wouldn't worry about eating your eggs or the other chickens.....

OK thanks. Sounds pretty common then.. They have been on 12 on 12 off 20% since they got out of the brooder. Weather has been nice and fresh grass and water daily. I'll be sure to use vitamins/electolyte with my next batch. These birds just are every bit as frail as I was told.

I can tell the difference in batches that I give Vit/elect to enormously. I put a full dropper of PVSOL in to each quart waterer for the entire first week, it makes huge difference in vigor.
