they are considered gourmet items in my area - I get the same price for a dozen quail eggs as I do for a dozen free-range duck eggs ($6/doz). Maybe you could phone some gourmet food places in your area, see if they have them and what they are priced at?

I sell mine to local Asian/ specialty markets for basically .40 an egg...or $6.00 for 15. For me and the packaging I use, 15 pack clear trifolds, the label, the mandatory USDA labels, the packaging comes out to $1.23 per unit alone...then add the eggs, which you get the cost of feed and maintenance...you won't get rich selling eggs...but there is no need to give your product away either.
All that to say this, IMO, $1 is way too cheap.
