I am setting eggs for March 20, I have 4 in a DIY incubator, (I have made these before)
I lift the glass to turn eggs.
I ran it for 2 days so far and it is holding a good 101 great for still air with air holes for good flow, and I have a broody ayam cemani/BCM mix hen sitting on 2 marked eggs (top of pic below)
these eggs I got from a neighbor farm 1 mile from my house, they have Blue isbar, and the browns are poss. Maran mixes of some kind. The dad roosters are a red cochin, if he is still around, and I don't know the other one, I want to guess a brahma. But mostly barnyard. Eggs are big, may be a 22 day hatch...
I am hatching eggs because of the broody hen, but only giving her 2 eggs to sit on. temps have not been real cold, 30, but she is still in coop, and I don't want her fighting and breaking eggs. They are marked so they don't get mixed up with other eggs.

I make sure the eggs never touch the wall of my incubator folded cardboard keep eggs from wall edge. Water dish with penny from before 82'. 15 w bulb.
I have a real incubator HHD 48 that I will fire up in late Feb. I have eggs coming, pures of Blue andelusian, LO, partridge rock, welsummer, leg bar, BO,SS, and non-pure olive eggers.
