Hello all! I am relatively new to poultry, but am learning a lot lately. Got my kids in 4H, so as they learn, I learn. I've had Guinea Hens for years, but am expanding to chickens soon. I also have a few Peking Ducks. I got them free when I got my last batch of guineas, though I like the ducks much more! I will probably be getting a few Rhode island Reds within a few days (if my friend who has them gets them through the first few days after hatching). As part of the 4H program, we are all raising a batch of meat birds for a fundraising opportunity. I believe the breed was Freedom Rangers. And I am also on the lookout for a bantam show bird for my 10 year old son. Hopefully we will be adding that to our flock soon, as well. I've found the best place to get advice is from those that know! And Youtube, of course ;-)
