I went to the first swap meet of the year, and bought an Easter Egger hen. She is approximately a year old, and I paid $8 for her. Since I bought her on Palm Sunday, and she is an Easter Egger, of course I named her Mary Magdalene! I think her feathers are beautiful. She hasn't laid an egg yet, but I think she needs to settle in a bit. Still want another young Easter Egger hen. They seem to be difficult to find in my area this year.
