MARYLAND THREAD!

Hello fellow Marylanders. How do I find a Vet who treats chickens? I'm not in need of one at the moment, but I've a rooster with a funny crow and I'm worried he's coming down with something, although he seems otherwise healthy. I've called a bunch of vets in the area (Mt. Airy/Carroll County, which has a pretty large agricultural base) and not one treats chickens!
Here's where I found mine - http://www.aav.org/search/custom.asp?id=1803

I just search "Maryland," looks like there's a Dr. Thomas Ryan in Westminster.

Hi! What area of Maryland are you looking for a vet? The MoCo. BYC has several recommendations and one not preferred. But if you are outside of that area, then it might not work.

I just wanted to share with you guys the funniest thing that happened to me today. So I'm at work and this lady asks me to help her find some pillows. She keeps looking at my face weird and eventually says "ya know proactive will clear that up"

First of all My acne isn't even bad. I have maybe 6 pimples on my face. And tere not even white heads..there little red spots from where I got rid of pimples.

Then she goes on about the proactive and I say "I don't like using things on my body that I wouldn't want in my body" and explained the harms and risks of the chemicals in such products.

Then she goes on and on about probiotics and then asks me if I know what they are....omg

THEN she tells me to guess how old she is and I want to say 80 but I'm nice and I say 60 and she said "I'm 80"

"your not gonna look this good at my age if you let your skin keep doing that"

THENNNNNNNN she starts telling me I should eat healthy an I inform her how I've eaten only organic and not eaten fast food or crap in over 3 years and how it's impacted m life in amazig ways and she says "you know what they put on organic foods?"

And I say "what?"

And I swear to god she said "cow poop"

And I almost died and had to walk away lol

I know this is so unrelated but they took down the "dumb things people say about your eggs and chickens" and it was pretty much the best thread to hear about ignorant people stories.

I am rotf Lmbo! She wanted you to use proactive, but is worried about manure? What were they using when she was a kid? By the way I love how you eat and treat your skin. My family is the same way. I only use organic, non-GMO, vegan products on my skin. I do have very oily skin, and I am also prone to acne (more in the summer).
Thanks for sharing. This was too funny.

Right!! Lol I think she just wanted to try and challenge me...people tend to do that to me alot. I have dry skin that's prone to acne in the winter lol and dry scalp. The only thing that helps it is Apple cider vinegar and sesame oil. I love sesame oil cause it's dosnt coat my face. It soaks right in and leaves it soft and it dosnt dry out once it's gone.

I know older people are stuck in there ways but I really wanted to be like "ya know what lady if I wore makeup like you do you wouldn't see my imperfections and you'd proly call me a mean name cause your a hater lol."

I don't get the makeup and drawn on eye brow and dye jobs and nails and augmentations women go through these days....all us women need to know that men like us naturally beautiful with all our imperfections.

Right! That lady just doesn't have a clue. I do like to wear make-up at times. I use one that soaks up my oil, but you cannot see a dramatic change. I use jojoba oil. Just enough to cover my the tip of my finger. I use avocado and grapeseed oil on my scalp. It doesn't tingle like tea tree, but keeps my dryness and itch down. I am sure that there are some men that like all of that crap, but how can they stand to look at the person when their appearance changes, or they take all of the gunk off.
