Is everyone staying defrosted today? My birds have shown zero interest in leaving the coop and I don't blame them with 8 degree (- 10 wind chill). The hard part the next couple days will be keeping open water available.

Barely got defrosted from the last polar vortex blast... and now again.
Yeah, my "kiddos" aren't coming out either. Yesterday and so far today, no eggs either. Which is fine by me cuz last time we got this blast, the eggs froze solid before I got to them. Every hour I am taking fresh water. I have it on a heater and it still has begun freezing.

This weather is for the birds. umm.. wait... NO ITS NOT.
