I very recently purchased 4 mascovy ducklings and they just sit there kind rocking they won't eat or drink anything or bairky walk .. . I'm very concerned . the women I bought them from had them outside and I didn't see a food sorse I did see water but I'm just really concerned they might die

I wish I could help you, but I'm a chicken person and don't really know much about ducks (although I've had a few and have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute). Have you tried posting your question in the Forum section titled Other BackYard Poultry--Ducks. If not, and you post there, you might get the answer you're looking for. Hope this helps.

I don't know about ducks either- hopefully some of our duck people will turn up here soon. Where the ducklings like that when you bought them? Have they gotten worse since? You could try posting in our "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. Be sure to put moscovy ducklings in the subject line.

How old are they? It is very hot now where you have them? Could be heat related. If they are old enough do you have a , swallow pan or kids pool they could swim in? Do their poos look normal? Any sign of worms or mites(on them)?

I would definitely get in touch with the seller and ask her what's going on. I know ducks can have a niacin deficiency if they are not fed properly. What are you trying to feed them?

Do you have a vet you could call for advice?

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about your ducklings, TwoCrows gave you some good forums to post on for help.

It might be the ducklings age if they are younger than a week that means they aren't ready to leave the nest so they might be too young
