I got 13 buff orpington chicks this spring and things have gone great so far. I do have one bird that is larger than the rest and looks very masculine. I have looked at a lot of the posts on here of others with orpingtons and the common feature that separates the hens from the roosters is the wattle and comb. My bird doesn't have a large comb, but still looks quite a bit more "roosterish" to me than the others. What do you all think?

Looks like a hen to me too Wish I had some I have a flock of 8 and 7 have red combs and waddles only one looks like yours.

Pullet. It just might have a more commanding personality. I have a barred rock hen who considers herself queen beside my only roo and likes to assert her dominence over the other hens and rule when hes on the other side of the coop. That is a girl in your pic though

Looks just like my BO pullets. I had one that we knew was a roo at about 2 weeks. Huge comb and waddles.
